Make Your House a Home: Homemade Apple Cider
This week’s checklist to make your house a home.
Every Sunday, I share a checklist of the 7 things I'm doing this week to help make my house feel like a home.
Whether it's cleaning, decluttering, decorating, or finding ways to appreciate your home, I'll provide an easy checklist you can print and use to follow along with me and take it step by step.
These are low-stress, manageable tasks that make a significant impact. Feel free to make adjustments based on your schedule or preferences to make it work for you!

(Mon) Clean: Baseboards & moldings
Baseboards and moldings often get overlooked when cleaning. Hot water, dish soap, and a soft cloth work well. If you don’t want to bend down for an extended period, there are baseboard cleaner tools that allow you to clean while standing.(Tues) Declutter: Old or damaged books
I love reading and collecting books, but they accumulate quickly and take up a lot of space. This week, I’ll review my books and donate any I don’t want to keep so that someone else can enjoy them.(Wed) Decorate: Staircase or hallway
The staircase (or hallway) is a great place to get creative with your decorations. A gallery wall with fun family pictures, framed artwork that your kids made, or a gallery of mismatched mirrors.(Thurs) Organize: Hats, scarves, and gloves
It’s only November, and my hats, scarves, and gloves are already scattered across the house. Take time this Thursday to create a system for keeping them organized so you can find them when hurrying out the door.(Fri) Recipe: Homemade apple cider
Homemade apple cider is so much more rewarding than the powder packets. It’s a fun fall drink, perfect for cold weather and cozy nights.(Sat) Memory: Reading together
Some of my favorite memories are reading books with my family. Pick a book that everyone would enjoy reading together, whether it’s a short kids' book you can read in one sitting or a longer book you can read a little bit every week. It may just become your new favorite tradition!(Sun) Reflect: Holiday scented candle & meditate
Light your favorite holiday-scented candle and meditate for a few minutes, enjoying the scents of the season.
I hope you find this checklist helpful and that it brings a little more joy and peace into your home.
