Make Your House a Home: Happy Thanksgiving
This week’s checklist to make your house a home.
Every Sunday, I share a checklist of the 7 things I'm doing this week to help make my house feel like a home.
Whether it's cleaning, decluttering, decorating, or finding ways to appreciate your home, I'll provide an easy checklist you can print and use to follow along with me and take it step by step.
These are low-stress, manageable tasks that make a significant impact. Feel free to make adjustments based on your schedule or preferences to make it work for you!
It’s the week of Thanksgiving here in the U.S., so I’ve tailored this week’s checklist around Thanksgiving (if you don’t live in the U.S., I think you’ll still enjoy the checklist this week).

(Mon) Clean: Dining Room
To get ready for hosting Thanksgiving, let’s work on cleaning the dining room. Avoid any clutter and consider moving furniture to make space for extra people.(Tues) Declutter: Entryway
On Tuesday, make space in your entryway for guests to set down their coats, shoes, bags, and any other winter accessories. A freestanding coat rack is a quick and easy solution if you don’t have room for coats.(Wed) Decorate: Dining Table
Prepare for Thanksgiving on Thursday by decorating and setting the dining table the night before. This will give you more time to cook and hopefully relax on Thursday.
A decorative table runner is a quick and easy way to make a dining table look elegant and well-decorated.(Thurs) Memory: Family Photo
Thanksgiving provides a rare chance to get the whole family together. Take the opportunity to snap a family photo. Happy Thanksgiving!(Fri) Recipe: Sweet Potato Casserole
I’m sure you probably already have your favorite Thanksgiving recipes, but I wanted to share one of my favorites with you. Ever since I was a kid, my favorite Thanksgiving dish has been Candied Sweet Potato Casserole.(Sat) Organize: Christmas List
It might sound weird to organize a Christmas List, but trying and keeping track of everything in your head can be overwhelming. Write down to whom you want to give gifts, a budget for each person, and gift ideas.
Update the list once you make purchases so that when all the gifts arrive (likely co-mingled in random Amazon boxes), you remember what goes to whom.(Sun) Reflect: Gratitude Checklist
The gratitude checklist is included in the PDF file at the end of this email!
There was a time when we had to jot down our shopping lists with pens and brave the crowded malls. Then Amazon came along like a shopping superhero. You're probably enjoying free shipping and exclusive shows, but there's more benefits you might not know about. Make the most of your membership with these 10 hidden perks.
I hope you find this checklist helpful and that it brings a little more joy and peace into your home.
