From Decluttering to Apple Pancakes!

This week’s checklist to make your house a home.

Every Sunday, I share a checklist of the 7 things I'm doing this week to help make my house feel like a home.

Whether it's cleaning, decluttering, decorating, or finding ways to appreciate your home, I'll provide an easy checklist you can print and use to follow along with me and take it step by step.

These are low-stress, manageable tasks that make a significant impact. Feel free to make adjustments based on your schedule or preferences to make it work for you!

  1. (Mon) Clean: Headboard or bed frame

I’m not sure why I always forget to clean my headboard, but this week I’m making sure it gets done! If you have a wood or metal bed frame, you can dust or wipe it down, and if you have an upholstered headboard, an upholstery vacuum attachment will do the trick.

  2. (Tues) Declutter: Unused seasonal decor

As you begin swapping out your seasonal decor, now is the perfect time to take any Halloween decorations you didn’t use this year and any Thanksgiving/Christmas decorations you don’t plan on using this year and donate them.

Hopefully, the decorations will be the perfect fit for someone else’s home this holiday season.

  3. (Wed) Decorate: Decorative bins for laundry essentials

Spruce up your laundry room with decorative bins for laundry essentials. I love these farmhouse laundry pod and dryer sheet containers.

  4. (Thurs) Organize: Towels and hand towels

This Thursday, take a few minutes to organize your towels and hand towels, whether clearing out dedicated space to store them, neatly folding/rolling them, or getting decorative baskets to keep them organized. If you’re limited in space, a wall-mounted towel rack might be a good solution.

  5. (Fri) Recipe: Apple pancakes

One of my favorite ways to mix things up is to have breakfast for dinner. Apple pancakes make for a fun twist to your traditional pancakes.

  6. (Sat) Memory: Family DIY Project

Come up with a DIY project you can do as a family, whether it’s making homemade Christmas decorations, a Thanksgiving craft, or getting a large canvas to create some abstract art. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but it should be fun!

  7. (Sun) Reflect: Gratitude list

With November being a month of gratitude, take some time to reflect and make a gratitude list. Doing this always helps me slow down and remember all the little things, especially when life gets busy and time moves so quickly.

I hope you find this checklist helpful and that it brings a little more joy and peace into your home.
