7 Spooky Fun Tasks to Make Your Home Halloween-Ready
This week’s checklist to make your house a home.
Good morning!
Every Sunday, I share a checklist of the 7 things I'm doing this week to help make my house feel like a home.
Whether it's cleaning, decluttering, decorating, or finding ways to appreciate your home, I'll provide an easy checklist you can print and use to follow along with me and take it step by step.
These are low-stress, manageable tasks that make a significant impact. Feel free to make adjustments based on your schedule or preferences to make it work for you!

(Mon) Clean: windows
Give the inside of your windows a good cleaning. This will brighten your rooms, which can be especially impactful in winter when there’s less sunlight.
(Tues) Declutter: living room shelves
Declutter your living room shelves to make space for fun Halloween decor. Clear off anything that doesn’t belong or feels too busy, and leave room for festive accents.
(Wed) Decorate: front porch for Halloween
If you haven’t already, it’s time to bring out the Halloween decorations for your front porch! Giant skeletons have been super popular this year. They’re my daughter’s favorite ‘monster’ to see on our neighborhood walks.
(Thurs) Organize: candy stash
With Halloween approaching, get organized by setting up a candy station. Buy your candy early and put it in a bowl for easy access on Halloween night. This cute trick or treat candy bowl is $5 at Target.
(Fri) Recipe: Halloween sugar cookies
Bake some Halloween-themed sugar cookies this Friday. Use cookie cutters shaped like bats, pumpkins, or ghosts and decorate them with colorful icing and sprinkles.
(Sat) Memory: Halloween decoration walk
Take a relaxing evening walk through your neighborhood to enjoy the Halloween decorations. It’s a fun way to unwind and get into the spooky spirit.
Bring a cup of hot cider or cocoa along to make the walk extra cozy.
(Sun) Reflect: Reminisce on Photos
Pull out an old photo album (or your phone) and look through old pictures. Life goes by so fast, and it’s nice to take some time to remember those good memories.
I hope you find this checklist helpful and that it brings a little more joy and peace into your home.
