7 Small Tasks with Big Impact on Your Home

This week’s checklist to make your house a home.

Every Sunday, I share a checklist of the 7 things I'm doing this week to help make my house feel like a home.

Whether it's cleaning, decluttering, decorating, or finding ways to appreciate your home, I'll provide an easy checklist you can print and use to follow along with me and take it step by step.

These are low-stress, manageable tasks that make a significant impact. Feel free to make adjustments based on your schedule or preferences to make it work for you!

  1. (Mon) Clean: kitchen cabinet doors

Start the week by wiping down your kitchen cabinet doors. Grease, fingerprints, and food spills can build up quickly, and a clean surface refreshes your kitchen.

  2. (Tues) Declutter: books

Take a few minutes to sort through your books. Recycle or donate what you don’t need, and organize the rest on a shelf or in a basket.

Keep your current reads or a small selection of favorite books on display. A great way to display your favorite books is with floating bookshelves.

  3. (Wed) Decorate: an open shelf

If you have open shelving anywhere in your home, pick one shelf and style it. It’s a small space that makes a big difference in making a room feel put together.

  4. (Thurs) Organize: under the kitchen sink

Tackle the often-neglected space under your kitchen sink. Pull everything out, get rid of old or unnecessary items, and reorganize it with under-sink organizers for easy access.

Use a small caddy or bin for cleaning supplies to easily grab everything you need when it’s time to clean.

  5. (Fri) Recipe: homemade cinnamon rolls

This Friday, bake a batch of homemade cinnamon rolls. They’re warm, sweet, and the perfect indulgent treat to kick off the weekend.

  6. (Sat) Memory: create a home time capsule

Create a time capsule with items from this year or season that are special to you. Whether it’s photos, small souvenirs, or written notes, it’s a fun project to reflect on later.

Store the time capsule in a safe place, and set a reminder for a year or a specific date to open it again and relive the memories.

  7. (Sun) Reflect: set goals for the week ahead

Take a quiet moment on Sunday to set your intentions for the upcoming week. Reflect on what went well and what you’d like to improve, and write down a few goals to help you stay focused.

I hope you find this checklist helpful and that it brings a little more joy and peace into your home.
